John Godfrey has been awarded a Life Member of the Financial Planners Association.

FPA Future Financial Planners Council

In 2008, The Financial Planners Association established the Future Financial Planners Council to address the shortage of human resources in the Financial Planning industry. 

Godfrey Group’s Managing Director, James Godfrey, is one of the founding members on the Council.

The aim of the Council is to:

• Raise awareness of the benefits of pursuing a career in Financial Planning
• Develop FPA programs targeted at educational institutions such as universities to inform students, graduates and vocational advisers of the opportunities in this profession.
• Develop marketing material that will provide a consistent message to all members of the FPA regarding information on career pathways, education and professional standards.
• Establish relevant support activities, such as mentoring programs to create a positive environment conducive to the student’s success.
